Global RTS was founded and became one of the first companies in Bulgaria and the Balkans to seriously enter the market for temporary structures and related services.
A US Army military exercise at the Novo Selo Training Area near Sliven marked the beginning of Global RTS’s long-term presence in the defence sector. The company began providing infrastructure support for military exercises and operations, an area that continued to develop in the following years.
Global RTS gradually began developing its own manufacturing capacity. Machinery was acquired and production facilities were equipped for the manufacturing of vinyl coverings, aluminium and metal components. The company also developed its own woodworking workshop. Expanding its production capabilities gave Global RTS greater control over project execution and enabled it to adapt solutions to the specific requirements of different projects.
Global RTS expanded into the Georgian market. A local company was established to deliver projects across several areas, including the defence sector, industry and events.
Global RTS won a NATO tender through NSPA (NATO Support and Procurement Agency) and became the main contractor under a contract for Leased Camps, Camp Equipment and Services. This brought the company into an international environment with high requirements for organisation, technical execution and logistical support of temporary infrastructure.
Following the devastating earthquake in Türkiye in 2022, Global RTS was able to respond rapidly and contribute to emergency relief efforts. The company provided equipment for temporary accommodation for approximately 13,800 people.
The experience gained through this large-scale operation expanded the company’s expertise into a new area within the temporary structures sector: humanitarian assistance and infrastructure for emergency situations.
Global RTS expanded its activities into another area of the defence sector: the maintenance and servicing of military bases. The company’s focus moved beyond the provision of temporary structures towards more comprehensive infrastructure and operational support.
In 2026, Global RTS expanded its portfolio with a project for the servicing and maintenance of tents at the Southern Operational Centre (SOC) in Taranto, Italy, under a contract with NSPA.
20 Years of Global RTS
Twenty years after its foundation, the company has successfully delivered 1,400 projects in 20 countries. Global RTS has evolved from a pioneer in the temporary structures market in Bulgaria into an international provider of temporary infrastructure, equipment, logistics and services for the events, industrial, defence and humanitarian sectors.
